Looks like I madethe big time! Thanks for your response — I’m glad you liked the blog entry. Like I said, this was my first Ren Faire, but I’ll definitely be going again. Might even try to make the one down in Plantersville (South Texas) later in the year.

I’m not much of a Blog reader, but enjoyed your post very much. Saw it on the Renaissance Faires News page. I try to go to our Renaissance Fest. each year. (Crownsville, Maryland) The shows are great. I love the relax environment too. Great way to spark peoples interest in history.

Thanks for your response! I loved the Faire, actually. I had a great time. Didn’t really mean to be negative, but then again, I’m something of a cheapskate. And you’re right — $20 isn’t bad for a full day’s entertainment. I’ll definitely be visiting again next year.

Hey dude,
Not a bad review..a little negative…20 bucks is not a bad price for a day’s entertainment..and you are entertained from the moment you arrive to the minute you leave…great pics…

I just would like to say that I am honored to be able to perform at this show…it has the best local cast I have ever worked with..and I have been doing this for 25 years or so…

just my 2 cents worth..

Hi! I visited your site to find out if there will be a Regatta in Rockwall along with Jason Castro welcome home festivities on May 29, 2008. I don’t see Jason’s big day listed above. My name is Kelli Edwards and I work for the WPI Firefighters’ Fund in Fort Worth. I would like to invite everyone to our chili cook-off to benefit injured firefighters. Details below:

The 4th annual Stop, Drop, & Roll Chili Cook-Off & Festival is coming up on October 18th from 10 am to 5 pm in the parking lot of Bass Pro Shops in Grapevine.
• Admission is FREE.
• Taste the best chili in Texas from the chili heads of CASI (Chili Appreciation Society International) as well as the best novice teams in DFW.
• Groove to live music, bid on the silent auction, and shop the vendor booths!
• Participate in activities for the whole family including children’s games, guest appearances from local fire departments, fire clowns, and much more!
• Soft drinks, beer, & margaritas will be available for purchase.
• All proceeds go to the families of fallen firefighters and volunteer fire departments through the WPI Firefighters’ Fund. Go to www.wpiff.org for more details.
